In September my daughter (30), who lives with us, and my granddaughter became infested with head lice. We are pretty sure they were picked up at summer camp. A Godsend...
The Licenex product was a Godsend from you. We have a neurologically challenged child and did not want to use chemicals on her head. I tried some natural products on the market as well as our own concoctions with herbs an essential oils for a couple of weeks. They helped but the problem kept resurfacing. My daughter was lice free after one application!
At the mere mention by anyone in my presence, I am at the store purchasing a lice treatment...just in case. So, when my daughter recently contracted lice it was utter devastation for me. I cannot rate Licenex highly enough...
We have serious problems here in the UK with lice building up tolerance levels to the overused remedies. I foster an African little girl and she caught head lice at school. I would just like to say thank you for your GREAT product. My daughter brought home head lice from her school right before summer break. I had tried, unsuccessfully, every lice product on the British market.

Something has finally worked against the tenacious
LICENEX WORKS, THANK GOD! Never have I been so happy to be able to write a testimonial! I've tried to get rid of the most tenacious lice from February 2008 all the way until November 2008 (nearly 10 months). I've used so many things on my head that I'll try to remember in case this helps anyone else . . . and keep in mind I used some of these for weeks or months at a time for many hours and some overnight: natural and OTC lice shampoos, hair gel, hair glue, hair putty, hair spray, vinegar, salt water, olive oil, baby oil gel, petroleum jelly, hydrogen peroxide rinse, and special combs.
And the lice kept coming back. Do you doubt that I've spent hundreds of dollars on various products and supplies? I had to keep telling myself not to get depressed because I've got a big head with millions of unusually thick, coarse hairs that I had to comb myself. Eventually I combed out most of my hair (and from all the junk I'd put on it), but was grateful for that since I could finally get the "tiny teeth" metal comb through it.
In desperation, I found the Licenex website and ordered one bottle of the shampoo for a mere $37. Nov. 1, 2008, I used Licenex as instructed and then 2 days later felt some angry, biting lice jogging (but not running!) around.

What a relief!

The nits are just falling off . . .
This is my second purchase of Licenex. We tried Licenex about a year ago; we had a seriously severe infestation. We got the initial infestation in July 2007.

I liked the fact it would get the eggs as well.

Licenex Usage Guide:
- Apply 1/2 oz shampoo to pre-washed, towel-dried (damp) hair and scalp. Do not add more water. Work into a lather and massage into hair and scalp. Pay close attention to nape of neck and behind ears. Put the shower cap on over lathered hair (tuck in longer hair under the cap). Keep head covered for 30-45 minutes. Rinse thoroughly after the time is up.
- After rinsing Licenex out of hair, apply hair conditioner to smooth out tangles (follow directions provided on conditioner bottle). Using a conditioner will make it easy to use the nit comb without tearing the hair. Once the conditioning is finished, have the person sit in a well lit area. Bring the bowl of warm water to a spot you can easily reach, add a splash of Licenex to the water and stir until slightly frothy.
- Next, comb through hair with the wide-toothed comb, removing tangles. Now use the nit comb provided and section the hair (see directions to use lice/nit comb provided). Start at the top, close to the scalp and run the comb slowly to the end. Verify there are no lice or nits in the hair before moving on to the next section. Swish the comb in the bowl of warm soapy water to remove any clinging lice and nits after each time you run it through the hair.
- Once all hair has been combed, flush the contents of the bowl down the toliet and wash the comb in hot, soapy water to remove any remaining lice or nits. Machine wash any towels, clothing or bedding in hot water and dry them on high heat.
- Repeat the steps above the following two days to complete the treatment process.

What Are Lice?
Head lice are persistent, wingless parasites that nest in the scalp and feed on human blood. A single louse has a lifespan of around 33 days, during which it will feed, mate, and lay eggs. Typically, many lice will form a community, or "infestation" in the scalp.
